Alexander A. McKenzie II during his time as the radio operator at the Mount Washington Observatory, New Hampshire, between 1932 and 1937.
On April 12, 1934, Alex was a member of the Observatory crew that recorded the record wind of 231 mph, that stands today as the highest wind ever directly recorded by observers.
